Originally built in 1929, the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Situated right on Michigan Avenue, one block north of the Chicago River, the hotel opens it’s doors to restaurants, high end shopping and all the attractions the city has to offer. By providing a highly trained staff and multi-functional space the InterContinental extends world class service & accommodations tailored to any event or celebration.
The hotel features 792 newly renovated modern guest rooms and over 45,000 sq ft. of conference & banquet facilities. The space ranges from contemporary to classically-restored elegance and most rooms offer natural light and great views of the city.

The InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile offers the ideal combination of location, facilities, and exceptional service for a true Chicago experience. In addition to award winning banquet team, onsite dining options include Michael Jordan’s Steak House, ENO Wine Bar, Center Court & Starbucks.
The conference halls in our Chicago hotel maintain the grandeur of the 1920s. Our Hall of Lions also takes design influence from the Assyrians. The two original marble lions were restored using cornhusk blasting, as traditional sandblasting would have destroyed the details in the sculpture. The Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America.
