Sun Siyam sand inspectors – Discover Maldives

We need sand, sun and a bit of luxury splash this summer and there is no better place for it than Maldives. This June, in organization of Sun Siyam resorts, Eurowings Discover and Expipoint, group of travel agents from Germany had opportunty to explore and inspect magnificent Sun Siyam resorts and make best offerings and travel ideas for their customers in Europe.

FAM trip started at Frankfurt International Airport where all participants were gathered to check in to brand new route to Maldives Velana International Airport which is operated by Eurowings Discover. Eurowings Discover is flying 2 times a week to Maldives from Frankfurt International Airport and from October 2022. they will fly 3 times a week to Maldives and from Munich Airport 2 times weekly. Check in was very well organized and fast. There are a lot of check in counters for Eurowings Discover passengers and all travel agents and representatives of tourism agencies had opportunity to experience efficient start of this trip. After short gathering at the gate before the entering the plane representatives of tourism agencies were ready for this adventure. Durring the flight they were interested to know more about different classes such as Economy, Premium Ecomony and Business class. Each class has its own benefits but all of them have great options for in flight entertainment and variety of meals as well as buy-on-board options.

After less than 10 hours safe flight, group of travel agents landed at Velana International Airport from where they had opporunity to take speedboat and after just 45 minutes they arrived at Sun Siyam Olhuveli.

Traditional welcome by Management and staff of Sun Siyam Olhuveli Resort was something to remember and after short meeting and welcome drink travel agents had opportunity to learn more about this beautiful resort in the middle of Indian Ocean.

Iru Veli resort has certified diving school and one of the activities that travel agents experienced at this resort is snorkeling and diving having opportunity to see marine life in Indian ocean such as dolphins, turtles and sharks.

The water villas at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef are surrounded by some of the best coral reef in the Maldives, Vilu Reef share the resort island with exotic flora and fauna for over 20 years. At Vilu Reef group of travel agents tried numerous water sports and one of the most fun activities was banana ride around the island. Jet ski is also one of the option beside paddles, snorkeling and canoeing.
